Performances have begun! Tonight will mark our second preview of the World Premiere of Matthew Schnecks’, BADGE at the Rattlestick Theater (224 Waverly Place at 7th Ave.) in the heart of beautiful Greenwich Village, NYC!
The show will officially open on June 18th and run until July 1st, 2007. Tickets available at www.smarttix.com or at the Box Office 30 mins. prior to the show. Come on down and spend a great evening.
Boy Scouts is the refuge that keeps twenty eight year old Roy’s life together. It keeps it sane, and most importantly, keeps it the same. Until the five year anniversary of his girlfriend’s death, when, Jessica, his Scout Master’s uninhibited sister, walks into Roy’s life, making him do very “unScoutlike” things. So things might change for Roy, or not...
In this farcical dark comedy, relationships are never what they seem. Bloody rituals are performed, Police Attack Cats linger about, and the smell of authentic Wellington Stew can change the world.
Don’t miss it!

CHECK OUT OUR BADGE WORKSHOP in the MERYL STREEP STUDIO at VASSAR COLLEGE!!!!!
Thanks to our Resident Director Christopher Grabowski,in August, Vassar College once again opened its doors to us for a week workshop of playwright Matthew Schneck's, BADGE with actors Darrell James, Nance Wiliamson, Tara Falk and Timothy McCracken. For six days we discussed, explored and experimented until we were blue in the face. Matt was able to gleen major insight into this new piece. We are so proud of Matt's work and know that he will be recognized as a major voice in the theatre world.

Beacon Productions, a not-for-profit pending company, was founded by Tara Falk and Timothy McCracken, in the Fall of 2004. In May 2005, we were thrilled to present our inaugural production, ...there's the story, a new play by Timothy McCracken. The response has been absolutely overwhelming (click here to read reviews). We were honored to work with the amazing talents of our cast, director, designers and crew. It has set the standard very high for Beacon Productions' future endeavors. (click about to learn more)
We prepared ourselves as much as possible for our journey, but we could never have imagined the number of tasks and costs that rise up out of the deep when producing independently. Even though many obstacles threw themselves in our way, we couldn't have had a more amazing path that led us to launching this beautiful show and our production company. We also learned of the unbelievable amounts of effort and generousity that flows from all of those around you. We had so much enthusiasm from all of our friends, family and fellow artists. We raised over $10,000 from our very first mailing and our benefit raised approximately $1300. We also had dozens of friends who gave their time, knowledge and support. Thank you!
We still need your help! You can make a tax deductible donation to Beacon Productions today. Go to our Donate page for information.
